Football administration and development in Ghana has not been so efficient in terms of funds and revenue mobilization but these teams have an urge over their competitors when it comes to the money league.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko: The Kumasi-based club is inarguably the richest club in Ghana. The club has some very lucrative sponsorship deals with top brands like MTN with a supposed cushion from the Asantehene who is the lifelong patron of the club. Recent successes mean the club is increasing revenue. The club received GHC 150,000 for winning this year’s FA Cup

Ashanti Gold SC: The Obuasi-based club is one of the few Ghanaian football cubs that own a personal stadium. The club has a great asset base. Affiliations with Anlo-Gold Ashanti open up financial doors for the club.

Accra Hearts of Oak SC: The continental club masters as the team is affectionately called is the oldest club in Ghana and one of the most illustrious clubs both in Ghana and Africa. The club has Torgbe Afede XIV as its largest shareholder. The club floated shares on the stock market in 2011 to raise funds for its operations.

West African Football Academy (WAFA): The club has the biggest football academy in Ghana and has links with Feyenoord in Rotterdam and ASEC Mimosas. The club placed second in the just ended league and was tagged by many has the future of Ghana football with great player management and football administration.

Elmina Sharks: The Premier League club is owned by one of Ghana’s richest politician and businessman, Papa Kwesi Nduom. The club plays its home matches at the Nduom Sports Stadium, owned by the club.

Aduana Stars: The reigning Ghana Premier League Champions received $30,000 for winning the league, which will position them in a stable financial position. The team will be representing Ghana in the next CAF Champions League.
