With a massive 5.8″ inch screen for the S8 and a 6.2″ 18.5:9 aspect ratio for the S8 + with sleek curved screens and 4k display.
One of the major additions to the S8 and S8+ is Bixby Samsung’s new Virtual Assistant. Bixby is activated with a dedicated button on the left side of your phone. Attached to the S8+ (users with s8 would have to buy the AKG earphones) is a bundle of AKG earphones. Both phones run on Android 7.1 Nougat and the seamless Samsung Grace UX design.
Packed with juice, the Samsung S8 and Samsung 8+ has the latest Snapdragon 835 being the first smartphone in the world to get this much of smartphone processing power.
The other 2017 flagships we’ve seen so far have been based on the 821, which came out in late 2016. The 835 moves to a newer 10nm manufacturing process with more powerful Kryo 280 custom CPU cores. This is an octa-core chip, whereas the 821 is quad-core. The 835 in the Galaxy S8 is clocked at 2.35GHz on four of the cores and 1.9GHz on the other four. This allows the workload to be spread around for maximum efficiency.
The storage in the base model is now 64GB, double what the Galaxy S7 came with. It also packs 4GB RAM and has an expandable storage of microSD slot for cards up to 256G. USB Type-C for your fast charging experience and Bluetooth 5.0, fingerprint reader, iris recognition and face recognition.
