Ghana Insurance Association get new president

Duku is a law graduate and holds a master’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management both from City University in the United Kingdom

The Ghana Insurance Association has selected the managing director of the Ghana Union Assurance Company as its new president.

Aretha Duku takes over from Ivan Avereyireh as the head of the body of Ghana’s insurers. Duku has many years of experience in the financial world having worked in South Africa and on numerous projects across Europe.

She also serves on the board of many financial giants in the country including the Prudential Bank Limited and CDH Securities and has professional experience from Adehyeman Savings and Loans Company Limited.

Duku is a law graduate and holds a master’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management both from City University in the United Kingdom.

The Ghana Insurance Association seeks to “protect, promote and advance the common interest of insurers, reinsurers and the insuring public and to do all such things as may be necessary, proper or advisable for the general advancement of insurance business in Ghana.”
