“In this top 25, you have the Greater Accra region the capital managing 5 districts, followed by the Ashanti Region managing four, Brong Ahafo 3 and Eastern region 1”.

He commended the teachers in the region for achieving this feat saying that “we at the ministry are so excited because, it has shown that, when teachers are committed, accept to be posted to deprived areas which the top 25 had 15 of them, it does not matter the good roads, the electricity coverage, the beautiful buildings and nearness to the capital, the commitment, the punctuality, the love for our job and the care and guidance for our children produces results that we are seeing”.

Mr. Ablakwa noted that, educational technocrats and other regions will be sent to learn from the western region what it is that they are doing right “including my own region which did not have any district showing up in the top 25 district”.

He charged all stakeholders especially parents to continuing showing commitment “so they will equip them the skill that can be used to harness the rich economic resource endowment of the western region”.
