Service personnel in Urban Traffic Management commence work

The new module, Urban Traffic Management, introduced by the National Service Secretariat (NSS) this year, is to complement the efforts of the Ghana Police Service in traffic management in the country’s urban centres.

 

Some national service personnel who were deployed onto the streets to help manage traffic have already assumed duty.

The new module, Urban Traffic Management, introduced by the National Service Secretariat (NSS) this year, is to complement the efforts of the Ghana Police Service in traffic management in the country’s urban centres.

A total of 1,000 service personnel, according to Dr. Michael Kpessah Whyte, Acting Executive Director of NSS, have been drafted into the new module. The personnel are said to have undergone a two-week intensive training at the Ghana Police Training School in Accra.
