School built under Atta Mills credited to Mahama
The school, Abesim Methodist Primary in Abesim (a town in the Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo), was built as part of the Schools Under Trees and Emergency Intervention Programme (SUTEmIP) instituted by the late Ghanaian leader who died in 2012.
The plaque crediting former president Atta Mills was changed to create the impression the school was built in 2016 under the watch of president John Mahama.
The plaque change was posted on Facebook by one user named AK Oppong. It was also shared by FM journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni.
The change of plaque of the six-unit classroom block was criticised in the comments when Manasseh shared the pictures on his wall.
One user, Hanan-Confidence Abdul, wrote: "Wow! This is so shameful if it's true! This is the height of dishonesty and thievery! Oh no!"
Another user, Sammy Yalley, wrote: "When deceit becomes your hallmark. NDC lies and Propaganda in their DNA, dix ppl have taken Ghanaians 4 a ride. It's not funny anymore. #PATHETIC"
