Yvonne Nelson says she is disappointed in the police

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has stated she is disappointed in the manner in which the Airport police is handling an assault case she reported some weeks ago.

In September 2015, Daily Guide reported that a Nigerian man whose name was given as Elvis Eze physically assaulted Yvonne Nelson because she did not give him a hug.

According to the reports, Elvis Eze, chased Ms Yvonne to her car, fiercely pushed her head as though he was inviting her to a wrestling match and was heard screaming at her and using very abusive adjectives including “who the f*ck do you think you are?”

The timely intervention of eyewitnesses however rescued the frightened actress from the physical attacks.

Yvonne Nelson in an interview with Multi TV's alleged Elvis is walking a free man despite reporting the case to the police.

“I have no idea, maybe you should go to the Airport Police Station and find out from them. It's a little shady, it's a little weird that they haven't arrested him. I mean, someone who is wanted is granting interviews, how is that possible. The police know where he lives, they know all the details so it's up to them, if they tell you they haven't done anything then blame them,” she said.

But Crime Officer in charge of the case at the Airport police station, Felix Anyidoho according to Hitz News expressed surprised at the actress’ disappointment. According to the police, Yvonne Nelson told him three weeks ago while they were investigating the case that the Nigerian had travelled back to his country.

"Disappointed in what sense? Why should she be disappointed...? So she wants us to go to Nigeria and look for just an assault suspect, is it a murder? The information now is that, the guy is in town so we'll make the two of them come to meet commander and we'll see what we can do,” he said.
