"Dumsor is now better, I commend the Government" - Yvonne Nelson

Yvonne said the main rationale behind the “Dumsor Must Stop Vigil” was to voice out her pain and anger in respect of the recent power crisis the country is going through.

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has praised President John Dramani Mahama’s efforts at solving the country's current power crisis.

In an interview with  Koforidua based, Bryt 99.1 FM, Yvonne said, “I must say, dumsor is now better, and I commend the Government, Power Minister and all other officials working around the clock to fix dumsor, for the good work they are doing".

"Yaa Asantewaa" of DumsorMustStop vigil, Yvonne said the main rationale behind the “Dumsor Must Stop Vigil”  was to voice out her pain and anger in respect of the recent power crisis the country is going through.

She added, the current power crisis is collapsing companies and making most people becoming unemployed not to talk of the excessive heat hence her decision to organize dumsor must stop vigil.

“I was therefore, surprised of the insults rain on me and other organizers by some government officials and NDC commentators”.A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team , Alhaji Halidu Haruna, who responded to the celebrities' criticisms, hence described them as prostitutes but later popped up to apologize.
