Rapper speaks on relationship with Solange Knowles

Although the father-of-three did not give any details as to what actually sparked the altercation, he, however, reassured his fans that their relationship is doing just fine.

Jay Z and Solange make up?

After opening up about his beef with Kanye West, the rapper has now spoken up about his 2014 elevator feud with sister-in-law, Solange Knowles.

Jay Z spoke about this during an hour-long podcast interview with RapRadar on Friday and went on to speak of their relationship before and after their misunderstanding.

Video clips of the incident show the pair getting into a fight while Beyonce looked on, but the trio have remained mum on the issue.

The music mogul said, “We’ve always had a great relationship.

“I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space, but it ain’t nothing.”

Although the father-of-three did not give any details as to what actually sparked the altercation, he, however, reassured his fans that their relationship is doing just fine.

“We’ve had one disagreement ever,” he said.

“Before and after, we’ve been cool. She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister.”

Some of the lyrics of the song went,

"You egged Solange on / Knowin’ all along, all you had to say you was wrong / You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / N***a, never go full Eric Benét / I don’t even know what you woulda done / In the future, other n***as playin’ football with your son."

He also revealed on the podcast that the track was about taking off a mask and “killing off the ego” so that he could “have a different kind of conversation” with his fans.
