Justin Bieber arrive 2015 American Music Awards in Los Angeles

Just maybe Justin Bieber's stylist should have thought better before suggesting that the singer wears a Nirvana t-shirt to the 2015 American Music Awards on November 22 in Los Angeles. Now, he's been slammed for his fashion choice!

The 'What Do You Mean' crooner walked the red carpet on Sunday in a renown t-shirt, an outfit many fans believe should have paid tribute to the popular 90s rock band, Nirvana. Most of them were upset because the Biebs was born in 1994 and never truly lived through the grunge era.

Fans immediately began to say that Nirvana’s lead singer, the late Kurt Cobain, would be rolling over in his grave if he saw Justin wearing a Nirvana shirt. But we don’t agree, we bet he’d be thrilled that someone as famous as Justin would wear a Nirvana t-shirt to an event as big as the AMAs!

Justin ended up changing out of his shirt and putting on a hat and sweatshirt for his epic performance which closed out the show. See some of the nasty tweets below:
