Rapper finishes his '1-day' sentence today

Kwaw Kese will finish serving his one day prison sentence today and will walk a free man.

 

Emmanuel Botchwey known by his stage name Kwaw Kese aka ‘Abodam’ will finish serving his one day prison sentence today (April 24) and will walk a free man.

The famous Hiplife rapper was jailed on Thursday, April 23 having been convicted of smoking cannabis in public in November last year in Kumasi.

The judge William Boampong also fined him Gh¢ 1,200 of which he paid outright according to sources.

“The Man Insane” spent over a month on remand for smoking in public at the Kumasi Central Prison and spent a few days at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after he was taken ill due to poor conditions at the Kumasi Central Prisons.

Ahead of his sentence, he has been on bail since December 30, 2014.
