Actress' missing Oscar dress found

The thief reportedly called TMZ to inform them where to find the dress adding the pearls were fake!

Lupita Nyong'O's missing Oscar gown made of 6000 pearls has been found after it was reported stolen from her hotel room on Tuesday, February 24.

The costume-made Calvin Klein dress returned to The London West Hollywood in the afternoon of Friday, February 27.

According to TMZ, 'a guy called us at around 2:30 PM Friday and said he had taken the dress from Lupita's hotel room after he noticed the door was ajar. He said he and others took 2 pearls off of the dress and took them to the garment district in downtown L.A. ... where they were told they weren't real'.

The police had claimed they were told the Calvin Klein dress was worth $150,000 (N30M), but the thief told the site it's almost worthless.

The site claims the thief only returned the bag because he wanted the world to know "Hollywood's fake bulls**t."

The thief also told the site he's left the dress inside a trash bag found on the second floor bathroom close to a gym.

The popular gossip site then relayed the information to the Los Angeles County Sherrif's Department who later went to the hotel and retirved the bag carrying the missing dress.
