Pharell Williams Teams Up With Al Gore For 'Live Earth' Concert

The ever green Pharell William is known for making big collaborations here and there but I think this one will be his biggest collaboration of all.

Al Gore and Kevin Walls announced that Pharell will be helping them with the second round of the Live Earth concept of promoting climate change and he will be serving as a creative director.

The leaders of the concert made this announcement on 21 January at the World’s Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Live Earth Road to Paris will take place on six continents over 24 hours on June 18 and will be anchored from Paris and New York. Organizers are aiming for a global television audience of 2 billion across 193 networks. It will be supported by a yearlong campaign in partnership with leading brands, NGOs and non-profits, organizers say.

There will be over 100 artists to perform across the continent to raise awareness and Pharell will be helping Al Gore and Kevin in choosing which artist to perform but the artists are yet to be revealed.

Though no details of the event line-up was given, William gave a little insight of the Organizer’s ambition saying “Instead of just having people perform, we literally are going to have humanity harmonise all at once,”

Wall said: “The power of music is unique, because it’s borderless, without language. Pharrell will use that power. When you combine music with a message, you can effect change.”
