Edem's music career started at Bishop Herman College where he performed at the school’s entertainment programs as well as at fun fairs held in other schools with his band mates.
His Debut Album 'The Volta regime' was released onto the Ghanaian market in January 2009.
Edem's two videos were recently featured on Voice of America, his "The one" video featuring Sway which talks about Africa liberation story and his award winning song 'Koene" was also featured on Music Time Africa by HeatherMaxwell and Vincent Makori.
Edem won the Best International Act-Africa at 2015 Black Canadian Awards.
He also won Album of the Year with his most talked about "Books and Rhymes Album" , Afropop song of The Year with his "Koene" Song and Video of the Year with his "The One" video featuring Sway, UK. at the 2015 Vodafone Music Awards.
