Obour unveiled as brand ambassador for Beacon Studios

Beacon Studios has unveiled Bice Osei-Kuffour aka Obour as the brand ambassador of its upcoming reality show, Pitch-it.

Beacon Studios, a first-rate multimedia and television content development company, has unveiled Bice Osei-Kuffour, known in show business as Obour, as the brand ambassador of its upcoming reality show, Pitch-it.

Pitch-it has been tipped to be Ghana's biggest reality show for early-stage startups, ideators, inventors and early-stage businesses. During the show, twenty (20) shortlisted candidates, who demonstrate that their business or idea is practical, scalable and investment worthy will be groomed over a 4-week period by 10 investors, business leaders, and other professionals to prepare their business or idea for a final pitch to a jury for an ultimate prize.

Obour, after expressing his delight and gratitude for being selected as the brand ambassador for the show stated that "the way forward for Ghana and for Africa as a whole is entrepreneurship. To deal with the high unemployment situation plaguing the continent and to ensure the rapid economic growth, we must consciously stir up entrepreneurship drive in people and also support those who are already taking the big step toward building quality businesses. That is why I am proud about this. This is why I feel honoured to be a part of this.”

Speaking about the show, Mr. Kelvin Asamoah, Managing Partner of Beacon Studios indicated that the aim of the show is to provide "Kick-starter" support to entrepreneurs who show promise. He also revealed that "Beacon Studios is an investee company of Stillwater Equity Partners, a private equity company committed to raising the next generation of world leading brands from Africa."

The show is opened to any person or start up business. Prospective participants can visit www.pitch-itgh.com for more information on the show and to register when registrations are opened. Each of the 20 shortlisted candidates, based on how they perform on assigned tasks during the training, will win prizes for themselves. Prizes to be won worth up to a whooping GH¢350,000 and include a cash prize for the ultimate winner, office space, mentorship, celebrity endorsements, advertising space on TV and Radio, office supplies, free internet and IT services, etc.
