"I Wanted To Be A Journalist" - Kafui Danku

The actress revealed this when speaking about her career, marriage and dreams on the ‘Hanging Out With K.O.D’ show last weekend.

Actress and executive producer of ABC Pictures, Kafui Danku apparently did not think of becoming an actress as she revealed that her childhood dream was to become a journalist.

“I wanted to be a journalist, while growing up, I just love how the name sounds, , so I thought it would be some swag job, so I told myself I would give it a try, but later along the way, the acting dream was just too strong that I just need to follow that path”, she said.

The actress revealed this when speaking about her career, marriage and dreams on the ‘’ show last weekend.

When asked how her husband behaves when she plays kissing or other sexually suggestive roles in movies she replied; “Sometimes I just don’t get it because for me I think it comes with the job, and I don’t by any way see why it should affect my marriage life.

She added that before the relationship and everything, he knew very well that’s her job, so why should he be bothered about her roles in movies after they are now married.

Explaining why she decided to produce her own movies, she said “I just want to contribute my quota, I also want to contribute to our growing Ghanaian movie industry in my own small way.”

She also explained her reason for working with Kobi Rana on her new movie saying he is a very creative, talented, and professional person who always creates the right atmosphere to relax and give your all when working with him and that you cannot say no to a Kobi Rana script.

Kafui however thanked Abdul Salam Mumuni of for believing in her and giving her roles to play in his movies and also being supportive of her throughout.

Kafui who has featured in movies like, , also has about four self-produced movies, , , and the new movie on the block ‘’ which is set to premiere on 6th March, 2015 at the .
