Flowking Stone behaved unprofessionally at Tigo Unplugged – Socrates Safo

Flowking Stone was reported to have said organisers of events have always disrespected artistes from Kumasi after he was told to end his performance.

Flowking Stone was unhappy with organisers

Film producer, Socrates Safo has chided rapper, Flowking Stone for playing a tribal card during the 2015 Tigo Music Unplugged show.

According to the rapper, he was contracted to perform for an hour at the event but was pressured to shorten his performance while on stage. He admitted that although producers of the show had told him backstage to perform within fifteen minutes because they had limited time, the call for him to end in the middle of his performance was what prompted his comments.

Flowking Stone said he wanted the audience to know that he did not intend to end his performance; organisers ordered him to.

But Mr Safo, making a submission on Pluzz FM’s AM Pluzz said the comment was “rubbish”.

He opined the artiste should have handled the issue in a professional manner than playing tribal cards

“…sometimes, things happen and if it is coming from a Kumasi person, the moment you decide to do something about it, they cry foul and play ethnic cards. I will say that it’s not fair for Flowking Stone to use that Kumasi tag. Aside that, I think he was right to react though he could have reacted professionally. But I think the producers of the show were just incompetent," he said.

The 2015 Tigo Music Unplugged was held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday.
