The Independent, UK, newspaper wrote about Akumaa's achievement's in its spread titled,"Woman who helps widows forced to sleep with husbands' corpse".
Twitter enthusiasts especially the guys, were not pleased with Akumaa's campaign.
Rapper, Pappy Kojo is noted for using " Yi Wo Dross" which favours the guys who have taken a swipe at the media personality for introducing the #WearYourDross.

About 50 percent of the people who tweeted using the hashtag supported Akumaa's campaign of #WearYourDross until marriage.
