How Bishop Obinim’s ICE TV preaches in the day and shows porn at night

ICE TV is on the radar alongside XYZ TV and Thunder TV for showing pornography at night. For a station owned by a man of God helping you 'get closer to God', ICE TV has no excuse.

How Bishop Obinim’s ICE TV preaches in the day and shows porn at night

This is not to say Angel Obinim is the only ‘Man of God’ (a term popularly being thrown around these days) you’ll find on TV. However, Bishop Daniel Obinim is a star among the stars.

The Ghanaian pastor whose congregation has grown from strength to strength was one of the very few pastors who started to use multimedia in propagating the word of God.

OB TV was the name of Bishop Daniel Obinim’s television station, a Christian channel that showed the pastor’s preaching, miracle works and a point of call for all and sundry to come to ‘ne Papa Jesus’ – a personalized version of his father Jesus Christ.

The National Communications Authority (NCA) on March 30, 2016, shut down Bishop Obinim’s OB TV due to some irregularities and discrepancies in the registration of the television station.

So, the Founder and General Overseer of the International God’s Way Church had a second plan for a television station and the satellite television station named ICE TV was registered in his name.

Despite ICE TV being registered as more of a commercial television station than a Christian channel, an Angel’s multimedia broadcasting was always going to have some form of spreading the gospel to all nations.

And so was it. ICE TV had times when the word of God was preached to its cherished viewers. These Christians programmes of Bishop Daniel Obinim still had excerpts left on ICE TV when OB TV was put back on air after months of negotiations.

Now the Bible

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” – 1 Corinthians 3:16.

“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication” – 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

"The said he unto the disciples, it is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him through whom they come!" – Luke 17:1.

Why these bible verses?

For a man of God preaching the gospel to draw people nearer to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the word of God should be your guideline.

All our bodies are the temple of God according to the Christian doctrine. Fornication is a no go zone according to the word of God.

So for a Bishop of God, persistently aiming not to fall in the category of Luke 17:1 should be an ultimate goal.

The Gospel, ICE TV, and broadcasting Pornography

Pornography on television is a broadcast intended to instigate sexual arousal. ICE TV registered under the name of Bishop Daniel Obinim shows pornography as part of their broadcast programmes every night.

The television station owned by one who supposedly should be preaching against fornication is creating an avenue to blossom the act.

Science has proven pornography taps into intense emotional, biological and chemical connections throughout the brain. The neurochemical release triggered by pornography viewing is so intense that some scientist call it ‘eroto-toxin’ and the most powerful drug since the days of Adam.

So it’s inevitable watching pornography can lure one into fornication.

ICE TV being for commercial purposes could just be an argument to spare Bishop Daniel Obinim some blushes, but come on, he should know better.

The man of God can’t be preaching during the day in a bid to lead this generation to God and show porn at night only for some of these ‘converts’ to backslide through fornication.

This must stop!

The Way Forward

A petition by Tommy Anna-Forson and James Oberko to the National Media Commision (NMC) to take action against some television stations showing porn at night has been submitted.

The Ghanaian television stations include ICE TV, XYZ TV and Thunder TV.

The letter which was submitted after the petitioners painstakingly monitored reads:
