Uber is a taxi service which brings you the best offers you can imagine. It caused quite a stir in Accra when it was launched.

Apart from providing good looking and well-maintained cars, the ability to rate your driver is one that is welcomed by many.

You get to request for it anywhere and anytime no matter your location. You can also communicate with your driver and watch your car arrive in real time.

Worried about safety? Uber thought of that too so they make sure that your friends and family can also follow your trip and their phone if you allow them.

This alerts them when you reach your destination. Also, details of your driver would be made available to your family and friends.

Before you can request for an Uber, you first need to have the Uber app.

How to download the uber app

Go to the Google Playstore or the App Store and download the Uber app.

You are now ready for your first uber ride!

Open your Uber app.
You will see a search box provided with the inscription ‘ where to?’. Type in your destination or where you want to go.
A pop-up section would appear which would show you the estimated fare and a black section with the inscription ‘REQUEST UBERX’. Tap on the ‘REQUEST UBERX’ to place your request.
Now a map of your area would appear. Your location would appear in blue. Drag the black pin to your blue location to mark your location.
A pop-up section would appear. Tap on the black section with the inscription ‘confirm pickup’ to confirm your ride.
A screen would appear which says, finding your ride. After the nearest driver has been found, his name, picture, model of the car and number plate would be displayed on the screen.
You can tap on his/her information to reveal his contact details and other information. You can call to direct or wait patiently for your ride
Now make yourself comfortable in the car and enjoy your ride.
