SHS in N/R to delay reopening over feeding grant
They claim food suppliers have refused to supply them with foodstuffs to feed the students due to accumulated debt.
The students, according to school authorities, are being fed on credit, a practice which has existed for decades.
SHS in the region are due to open on January 5, 2017 following the Christmas break.
Schools in the three Northern Regions are supported by the government as part of an affirmative action policy to bridge the education gab between the north and the south.
