The Director of Public Affairs of the University Stella Amoah in an interview on Accra FM, said "20 of our students suffered injuries and they received treatment at the University Hospital…16 of them have been discharged and four have been detained for further observation."
She noted that the accident has had a toll on academic activities on campus as some of the students could not sit for their exams.
"On Sunday some of our students had a scheduled interim assessment but becuase some of them moved away from campus it wasn’t possible for them to have it. So we’ll schedule some of these academic sessions or examinations which could not come off," she said.
