This was in fulfilment of a promise made by the artiste prior to the event.

Mavis Botchway, the girl who won the scholarship

Mavis Botchway, a form two student of Winneba Secondary School won a one-year full educational scholarship after her ticket number was picked at random at Gasmilla’s Father Christmas Show.

“I want to spend time with the kids, have fun with them and some lucky kids would go home with an educational scholarship, Christmas gifts and other goodies. Trust me the kids are going to have fun,” Gasmilla said earlier.

Thousands of kids thronged the Efua Sutherland Park on Boxing Day to have fun with the Telemo hit maker. The project was aimed at giving back to the poor and needy children.

While some of the children rode on horses with joy, others had a nice time on bouncy castles. There was also face painting and photo-shoot sessions with Gasmilla.
