The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has given Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the three regions of northern Ghana, Monday, May 22, 2017, to reopen for the third term of the 2016/2017 academic year.

The inability of the SHSs to admit all students on the re-opening day, May 4, 2017, was as a result of the non-payment of three-and-half terms feeding subsidies owed them by the government.
