Unity Hall shows love to less-privileged on Independence Day
Unity Hall, considered to be the largest university hall in Ghana, fraternized with Kumasi Children’s Home and inmates at the Kumasi Central Prisons on Ghana’s Independence Day.

The members of the hall, led by Dr. Emmanuel Gikunoo, the Hall Master, presented several items, including Milo, Milk, Sugar, Rice, Biscuits, Indomie, used clothes, shoes and toiletries to put smiles on the faces of the children.
Some other items donated were assorted drinks, soaps, oil, gari, and sardines.
Popularly known as 'Continental Hall' or simply 'Conti', Unity Hall has over the years taken it upon itself to undertake social responsibility projects during hall weeks and other commemorative occasions, having previously visited places such as the SOS Home for the Needy at Asokore Mampong.

Conti, one of the halls of residence at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, was commissioned on October 16, 1968, hence the 10th month of this year marks the all-male hall’s Golden Jubilee.
The visit to the Kumasi Central Prisons and the Kumasi Children’s Home form part of a series of programmes that have been lined-up by Continentals both current and old to mark the Golden Jubilee.
