Ace Ghanaian comedian dies at 59

One of Ghana's top local comedians Samuel Kwadwo Buabeng aka Bob Okala has passed away.

Bob Okala was a pioneer of the popular Key Soap Concert Party comedy show.

The one-time best 'Key Soap Concert Party' comedian, according to a report on STARR FM, was slated to perform at an event on Saturday (12th March 2016) organised by Joy Industries but couldn't "make it" due to ill-health.

"Okala pleaded to perform briefly but he realised he couldn't continue and the bouncers had to come on stage to hold him because he began to lose stamina," Solomon Nuwodu of  Dady Media told STARR FM.

Bishop Okala, as he is affectionately called, was part of some entertainers who paraded during Ghana's 59th Independence Day celebrations.
