'I'm never going to say the reason,' Producer says on D'banj split [Video]

The singer addressed a range of issues from the Teebillz Tiwa Savage drama, Headies controversy, and D'banj split among others.

Don Jazzy talks about the issue between him and Olamide at the Headies, working with  D'banj again in the part two interview with NotjustOK.

On who he would have loved to sign, he mentions Falz as the act that tickles his fancy, revealing that he is open to signing rappers in the future.

He was of the opinion that what makes rap music to be commercially appealing is the melody and chorus in that rap song, and not spitting rap all through.

On why he appeared silent over the Teebillz and Tiwa Savage drama, he said  it was all about  Tiwa Savage and Teebillz as a family, and not about him, or any image of Mavin that was important at that time.

"All we were thinking about was sorting the family out, that's all that was important to me."

Asked about what exactly the issue was that led to him splitting with D'banj, Jazzy responded: "I am never going to say the reason ever" . The producer also revealed that he graciously decided to forego the royalties that he was entitled to for producing the song 'Oliver twist'.

Watch out for part 3 where he talks about him applying lessons learned from GOOD music to the Tiwa Savage ROC Nation deal.
