Katy Perry Donates $5,000 To Support TLC’s Kickstarter Campaign

Pop star, Katy Perry supports TLC's upcoming album with some big bucks.

After the TLC duo, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas launched their kickstarter campaign to fund a new album and the “Roar” singer makes a huge contribution to the cause.

The singer is said to have pledged $5,000 to the campaign which is set with the goal of raising $150,000 and on Tuesday Watkins took to twitter to thank Perry writing “THANK YOU 2 @katyperry for her pledge to our #Kickstarter Campaign! Your awesome!"

The campaign according to reports has already raised $138,000 since Monday and it has 28days more to go.

For those who are as much of a fan as Perry wouldn’t have to wait too long as the Main Event Tour kicks off in May 1 in Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and TLC will be hitting the road with new Kids on the Block and Nelly and tickets for the tour go on sale January 31.
