Actress Organizes Kidney Awareness Walk

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim together with her Juliet Ibrahim Foundation team marked the World Kidney Day on Thursday, March 12 with a Kidney Awareness Walk.

Juliet Ibrahim  organized the walk to join in the global health awareness campaign which is focusing on the importance of the kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems.

Juliet led the walk through the major streets of Accra. The actress who has passionately spoken about the need for people to be more conscious of the disease and its symptoms revealed on the Morning Starr show with Kafui Dey that two of her aunties died as a result of kidney failure.

World Kidney Day is observed annually on the 2nd Thursday in March and is recorded as one of the fastest growing illnesses in the UK and, contrary to popular belief; it can’t be cured, only treated.
