Rapper finally joins Instagram

Kanye West has finally joined photo sharing platform Instagram and it's been gaining thousands of followers since its genesis.

Kanye West at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Sept. 18, 2015 in Las Vegas.

He joined the social media platform under the username @kanyewest yesterday (September 18). Kenye's first post is an image from 1990 film "Total Recall", directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The post has gained over 300,000 likes and almost 50,000 comments from fans.

Kanye has been trying to stick to one social media platform which is Twitter but disclosed in March, 2016 that he's considering an Instagram account -- but only under one condition.

He tweeted "on another note... I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition......" adding the "no one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram... It's my art..."
