Pastors ‘chop’ some of your offertory - Kumchacha

"Pastors must always dress well because we preach the word of God, his goodness and mercy to others. People must see pastors as a living testimony of what God can do to believe what we preach and dedicate their lives to follow him",according to Pastor Kumchacha

Prophet Kumchacha

Founder and Leader of Heaven's Gate Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha says Pastors use some of the offertories to buy their personal things.

In an interview with Andy Dosty,  he revealed that “Apostle Paul said something in 1 Corinthians 9 -13 -14 which reads, ‘ Don’t you know that those who serve in the temple get their food from the temple and that those who serve at the altar share in what is offered on the altar? 14 In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel’.

When we take collections, we used some of the offertories to maintain the church and pay for time to preach on the radio. We use some of the money for our upkeep. Honestly, we use some of the offertories to buy some personal needs; clothes and shoes to look stylish. If people see me in the streets without shoes, what will they say about me? Even ducks wear shoes.

Kumchacha also advised Ghanaians not to complain when they are asked to pay for consultation fee because it is just a way of showing appreciation.
