Muntari makes appearance at Appiah Testimonial match

The out-of-favour midfielder made a stop at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari made a surprise appearance at Stephen Appiah's testimonial on Saturday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The suspended midfielder made his appearance early on in the first half, and was greeted by cheers from the supporters, whom he acknowledged.

Making his first public appearance at a Ghana event since the World Cup debacle a year ago, Muntari arrived on a motorbike and made his way to the pitch where he greeted friends and colleagues on the sidelines.

He did not last the entire duration of the match however, as he left before the end of the second half, and his departure was again greeted with loud cheers.

It is yet to be seen whether Muntari will make a return to the Black Stars in future, with his club career also full of question marks.
