Amanda Acquah says she is still legally married to Black Stars player, Afrique Acquah but they are separated.

The mother-of-one revealed that they married in their early twenties, lacking experience and relationship tips to make their relationship work especially Afriyie because she was traditionally married to a business man, Kenpong, lived with him and learned some duties and responsibilities of a wife.

"We are still married. Scandal didn’t separate us. The love we had was way above scandal. During that time we were chilling in Italy. We are cool. You know we are both young, we got married very early. We got married when I was 24 and he was 22. I think we need more time.

The separation is what we needed. We need more time to grow, get more matured and understand each other. When we got married, we didn’t really understand the meaning of marriage, especially for him because I had engagement with Kenpong; traditional marriage and I lived with him so I had some experience but he was very young, getting the fame and money".

The former wife of Kenpong, Amanda added that they separated because she was tired of fighting with girls and his husband needed space to grow.

"The separation came because I needed to give him time to grow and enjoy that life a bit. I can’t be fighting with girls every time. He needed that space to grow. He loves me wherever he is and I love him too".
