"I am not bleaching my skin” - Lady Prempeh

Gospel artiste, Lady Prempeh, has dismissed rumours that she is bleaching her skin.

The rumours began on social media when she posted her photo on Facebook, which purported to show the gospel looking fairer than her normal skin complexion.

Lady Prempeh, real name, Esther Boateng, in an interview with Showbiz said “I have no idea where these stories originated from because I woke up one morning and realised it was all over social media that I am bleaching my skin".

"I would like to assure my fans that I have never bleached my skin in the past and would never consider doing so. I am still the same Lady Prempeh they know and I will never change. I know the dangers of skin bleaching and I will like to caution all my fans to abstain from it”, she said.

The "Ne Ntaban" hit maker however revealed that the picture at the centre of the controversy was shot using filters hence the lightened appearance of her image.

She added, I’m not really surprised because we all know that bad news sells so it’s little wonder that this false information has been picked up all over the country".

Lady Prempeh, who has been absent from the limelight said  she has been working to release her full album which will feature, Gospel singer, Nacy.

“Since I decided to complete the entire album instead of simply releasing singles, I needed to take the break in order to concentrate fully on it. This is to ensure that the finished product would be one that will make waves in the country”, she said.Lady Prempeh called on her fans to remain steadfast and continue supporting her with their prayers since she has a lot in store for them.
