First official portrait of Princess Charlotte revealed

The Duke and Duchess are fiercely protective of their family's privacy, hence photos of Princess Charlotte baptism will be released to the media after the ceremony

KensingtonPalace has released the first official photo of Princess Charlotte who was born on May 2, 2014 on Instagram. In the picture, Prince George was seen holding his little cute sister.

It is known that the picture was taken in mid-May by The Duchess of Cambridge.

A royal source said, "There was a very warm public response when Princess Charlotte was born, which was very much appreciated by the Duke and Duchess, and so they wanted to share this with the public".

Princess Charlotte will be christened next month by the Archbishop of Canterbury on Sunday, July 5 in the church of St Mary Magdalene, Sandringham, near Anmer Hall where her late grandmother Diana, Princess of Wales was baptised.
