Before the arrival of Alkaline, Shatta had announced that he would go to Nima, Korle Gonno and other places with him for his fans to see the Jamaican artiste. The plan was however not realised.

Explaining the circumstances which led to that, Shatta Wale on Pluzz FM said the fault was not from Alkaline but the event promoters.

“When Alkaline came down, there was some miscommunication between him and the promoters. When they came, all they wanted to do was to be in a hotel and sleep because they were tired. I understand that. Later, I told the promoter that I need to take Alkaline around as I promised my fans…,” he said.

According to Shatta, Alkaline had intimated that he was scared for his life.

“But Alkaline himself posted a picture on Facebook, the kind of blasts he got made his sister call Julio from Jamaica. That he said he was scared, people were threatening his life etc. but it wasn’t his fault. It was the promoters’. There was a miscommunication. He later called me to apologise…,” Shatta noted.

Shatta noted that he wanted to put Alkaline on his album but the latter was busy working on his album as well.

The MTN Pulse Turn UP was held at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium, Accra on March 4, 2016. Alkaline was joined by Kranium to face Ghana’s Shatta Wale, Samini and Stonebwoy.
