My son behaves the way he does because...

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr, father of dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has indicated that his son does not react harshly to issues for fame.

“He is not like that. He is a fine gentleman and ladies love him for that. Some artistes get carried away by fame. Shatta is not like that. Sometimes, what we hate in our family is someone looking down on you, say something negative about you. These are some of the things we hate so much in our family. So I don’t cheat anyone. But when you try to… That is not Shatta’s lifestyle; maybe circumstances,” he said on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show hosted by Akwasi Aboagye.

Shatta Wale has come under heavy criticisms for his approach to issues. The Kakai hit maker has on a number of occasions openly taken on anyone who ‘offended’ him to the extent of raining insults on the offender. Regardless, his father who prefers to be called, Shatta Capo has said it is not part of his lifestyle.

Shatta Capo was at Peace FM studios to settle a misunderstanding between Shatta and Akwasi Aboagye which happened on the same platform last Saturday.

Shatta Wale was reportedly irked by comments by Akwasi Aboagye that he is inconsistent with his decisions. The artiste has backtracked on his earlier decision not to be part of the annual Ghana Music Awards and its related issues after organisers, Charterhouse hauled him to court over charges of defamation.
