Hold KOD responsible for our split - Afriyie

Speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review on Thursday, Afriyie said it was the duty of KOD as a manager to hold the group when it was falling apart.

“Since KOD was the Commander-in-Chief, I think he will be the best person to answer questions regarding our split. It was his responsibility to keep us together so if we fell apart, it means the Commander-in-Chief should be the one to answer. Every officer needs to bring his troupe back home alive. KOD was not the problem but I feel as a manager, the artiste’ s welfare should be your pride concern,” he stated.

According to Afriyie, during their days as Wutah, he raised several issues which were not addressed.

“Personally, I told management we had to grow. When we worked together as Wutah, we recorded two albums and a single. We had only one video at that time. There is no video for up to now. So all these things were factors. Personally, I felt we were not growing. Nothing was happening… It got to a time we were just static. I raised a lot of concerns that we needed a voice trainer, more videos and nothing was happening. And I’m sure Kobby too had his reasons,” he said.

He however debunked claims that their split was due to money neither was it because they were fighting over a lady.

On speculations that he and his former group member, Kobby were coming back as a group, Afriyie confirmed saying, “We are humans… It takes efforts and time and trust to bring people together. We were together and for some reasons, we went separate ways but we have spoken at length to do things together. It’s never too late.”

Meanwhile, KOD has stated that he did his best but the duo had made up their mind to go their separate ways.
