Youngster stars in new ‘Spiderman’ movie

The Jon Watts-directed pic from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios is the first major role that the award-winning actor has taken since starring in Beasts of No Nation.

Attah who is on the set in Atlanta joins recent additions Donald Glover, Martin Starr and Logan Marshall-Green, alongside the webslinger played by Tom Holland, with Robert Downey Jr playing Iron Man and Michael Keaton playing The Vulture.

The piece is being produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal.

Attah shot to fame after he starred in his first movie, Beasts of No Nation. He played child soldier, Agu, in the African war drama, which was written and directed by Cary Fukunaga. It tells a story of a young boy's resilience as his country goes through a horrific war.

His role has earned him several awards inclusing Black Film Critics Circle’s Rising Star Award, Best Young Actor at Venice Film Festival, Best Actor at Spirit AwardsBest Actor in Lead Role andDiscovery of the Year at Ghana Movie Awards 2015.
