“I wasn’t surprised by Nii Odoi Mensah’s death”

Agya Koo has disclosed that the death of veteran actor and former Actors Guild president, Nii Odoi Mensah, did not come to him as a surprise.

Kumawood actor, Alex Kofi Adu, popularly known in showbiz as Agya Koo has disclosed that the death of veteran actor and former Actors Guild president, Nii Odoi Mensah, did not come to him as a surprise.

Speaking to Pulse.com.gh, the comic actor said, “He has been sick and the disease has been chronic so it didn’t come to me as a surprise. If his death occurred untimely, it would have been a surprise but we all knew his chronic kidney disease took his life so I wasn’t surprised at all.”

Agya Koo however sent out his condolence to the family and advised them to make good use of his properties.

“My condolence to his family, they (his family) should protect his legacy and properties. His kids should make good use of what he has left behind so that they can have a good future,” he advised.

Sharing his working experience with the late actor, Agya Koo told said “I have worked with him before and he’s corporative. He plays mature roles and it reflects in his working relationship. He has never spoken against me or abused me verbally.”

Nii Odoi Mensah reportedly died yesterday, April 11 in China where he was undergoing a kidney transplant. Doctors had declared his two kidneys as incapable of functioning to keep him alive.
