The trailer for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s second ever on-screen collaboration together, "By The Sea", has finally arrived. The movie is Jolie’s third directorial outing after "In The Land Of Blood" & "Honey" and 2014’s sweeping epic "Unbroken".

The movie, set in the 1970s, follows Roland and Vanessa, (played by Pitt and Jolie) a couple on holiday in the south of France, who are – apparently – encountering relationship problems.

Shot in Malta, the trailer sees the two actors in a seemingly unhappy relationship whilst the two explore friendships with the sleepy town’s locals. We then see an argument ensue where Jolie slaps Pitt around the face before the trailer ends with Pitt leaving their hotel room and Jolie slumped on the floor.

The couple reportedly filmed the romantic drama in Malta last year as part of their honeymoon, after the two tied the knot in their home in France. The film also marks ten years since the two first worked together on Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Meanwhile, speaking about her latest venture to Vanity Fair, the actress described the film as “the kind of movie that I like to see but not something I’m usually cast in.” "This is a story about a relationship derailed by loss, the tenacity of love and the path to recovery and acceptance," Jolie said in a statement. "It has been a privilege to explore these universal human experiences with such a generous and talented cast and crew," she added.

"Angie and Brad have created an intimate gem of a film that will surprise people and delivers an experience they might not expect from them,' said Donna Langley, Chairman, Universal Pictures. "Universal is honored to market and distribute it to audiences around the world."

Oh, and eagle-eyed fans of Brangelina may also have noticed that the actress-turned-director is also billed for the first time as Angelina Jolie Pitt.
