What We Expect From Leila Djansi's "Poisoned Bait"

Poisoned Bait from the trailer focuses on the ingratitude of men, verbal and sometimes physical assault of women by men they are married to.

Leila Djansi has done it again. Her plots are as always very reflective of her views on society but in a weird way she maintains the conflict in her stories about the inner battles women face.

The struggle of feeling beautiful enough, adequate and needed. The constant struggle of expectations of what a real woman should be in a conservative African society.

Poisoned Bait from the trailer focuses on the ingratitude of men, verbal and sometimes physical assault of women by men they are married to. She shows how women go through the motions of love, bitterness, anger and then revenge. It is a great story with a star studded cast including Adjetey Annan, Ama K. Abrebrese, Marie Humbert and Edward Kuffuor among many others.

It is certainly one movie I am looking forward to seeing. Movies are not always about fantasies sometimes they are about the harsh realities of life. Stay close for the release date so we grab our tickets to the first row because I don’t want to miss a thing!
