Kit Harrington defends bloody scenes, violence in show

Is there too much violence, bloody scenes and torture in Game of Thrones? Kit Harrington who plays Jon Snow opens up on show's heavy violence.

'Game of Thrones' has long been criticized for its violence, sexual torture and gruesome deaths. While you might qualify the popular and award winning TV show 'Game of Thrones' as 'gory', Kit Harrington who plays Jon Snow in the series, sees nothing wrong with it.

According to Kit, there is already too much violence in the news, we can't share away from it in dramas.

"I don't see a problem with it because you mostly always feel the consequences of that person dying, "In Thrones it's war and awful, awful things happen, as we see on the news daily. And if we've got an appetite for watching these things on the news then you can't shy away from it on cable drama.

"In Thrones, as much as they bury the death they see very quickly, there is an impact that those deaths have which I'm constantly playing. People are always dying around me in Thrones."  - Kit said to Radio Times.
