This is what actor thinks about 'being the 1st African James Bond'

Idris Elba responds to reports that he is in the race to become the next James Bond.

If you still had hope of your favourite black actor, Idris Elba, playing the first black James Bond, you can put it rest.

The 'No Good Deed' actor has referred to the several reports of him being the next James Bond as 'a rumour.'

Elba who previously joked about taking on the 007 role, recently told Radio Times: “It’s just a rumour. I have no idea."

The actor gave the above response when asked about competing for 007 role with Damian Lewis,  is the current frontrunner with bookmaker William Hill to replace Daniel Craig.

In 2014, a undefined revealed the company thought the actor “should be the next Bond”.

Elba responded via Twitter, asking "

Daniel Craig is currently filming the forthcoming Bond film undefinedwhich hits theatres November 26, 2015.
