Adam Rodriguez expressed he is very excited to act with loud and proud mama bear Cookie Lyon in the next season

Adam Rodriguez, who is currently starring in the new Magic Mike sequel Magic Mike XXL has revealed he very excited about his new role with Taraji P. Hendson, known as Cookie in the second season of the hip pop TV series, Empire.

Adam added, they will be doing a whole lot of “bonding” next season. “Cookie and I share a similar affliction that we’re battling and we sort of bond over that".

“I manage to save her in a moment and that starts building a bond. I don’t know exactly where that’s going to go but I’m hoping it goes to some good places. I can’t wait to be hanging out with Taraji and have a good time.”

Rodriguez continued, "I can't wait, I'm so excited," "I actually just hooked up with some of my writer friends that are on that show the other day and they were like, 'We'd love to tell you everything that's going to happen, but we cannot say a word".

The actor also revealed ,"he’s “super excited” to get started. “[Taraji is] just the best” he said, “so much fun, such a great person… We definitely have chemistry".
