Shonda Rhimes and leading ladies of #TGIT endorse Hillary Clinton

Look who stopped by the set of the Shonda Rhimes' political drama "Scandal"! It's the The Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton.

The campaign ad features Rhimes and the leading actresses in her hit ABC shows; Kerry Washington of “Scandal,” Viola Davis of “How to Get Away with Murder” and Ellen Pompeo of “Grey’s Anatomy."

“Every day I wake up and play a brilliant, complex, overqualified, get-it-done woman, who obsessively fights for justice, who cares, who gives a voice to the voiceless, who gets knocked down and always gets back up,” the actresses say.

“I make television filled with the kinds of characters I imagine we all can be. Strong but flawed, human but extraordinary. Our characters are on television but the real world… The real world has Hillary Clinton,” they added.

The ad campaign video was directed by Tony Goldwyn, who plays the POTUS on "Scandal". Clinton took to Twitter to express her gratitude over support.

Recently, Clinton stopped by the "Scandal " set on while fund-raising in Los Angeles. During her visit, she took out time to pose for selfies with cast of the series including Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Scott Foley, Darby Stanchfield among others.

The  ABC political drama "Scandal" features Goldwyn as Fitzgerald Grant, the President of the United States of America, who was married to Mellie Grant and having an affair with the White House aide, Olivia Pope.

The show returned for the second half of it's fifth season with Mellie campaigning for president. Clinton is currently leading the Democratic race for presidential nomination.
