Lionsgate is interested in making prequels

Lionsgate is still very much interested in keeping "The Hunger Games" franchise alive.

Lionsgate Vice Chairman, Micheal Burns, has revealed that they are considering prequel and sequel possibilities” for the "Hunger Games" franchise.

He revealed this in during a press conference in New York, stating that the franchise "will live on and on."

The recently released and fourth film in franchise, “The Hunger Games : Mockingjay - Part 2," has grossed $227 million at the U.S. box office after three weekends, and close to $300 million in the international box office.
