Hip-hop ‘Alhaji’ Fareed ready to shake Tamale on November 26.
The musical night dubbed “Operation Suhudoo” will see the self-acclaimed ‘Hip-hop Alhaji’ rock the stage alongside Tamale’s biggest artistes; Fancy Gadam and Maccasio, multiple award-winning rappers; Edem and Tinny, and Reggae/Dancehall musician, Iwan.
Speaking in an interview, the spunky rapper who frequently blends his indigenous Hausa language with English, Pidgin and other local dialects in his tunes said he feels great sharing the same stage with the likes of Edem, Tinny, and Iwan.
“I feel so great – it’s like a dream come true. It’s a big deal because Tinny, Iwan and Edem are my mentors. I grew up listening to their songs always,” he stated.
He urged the fans to expect an exciting performance from him and further revealed that he has two new singles with Edem and Iwan to unveil on the night.
“Fans should expect an exciting performance. I will unveil my new single with Edem and Iwan on the stage so fans should expect something big. It’s not a surprise because the songs are new. It’s going to be an opportunity for fans to get familiar with the new tunes,” Fareed stated.
The rapper is currently out with a fairly hit song titled “Hip-hop Alhaji”. The song produced by in-demand producer Peewezel features silky vocalist, Brenya.
Other performers billed for the “Operation Suhudoo” concert include Brenya, Flower Gaskia, Dabba, Young Gully, Choggu Boys, Don Sigli, Lil K, Nandos, Ataaka, Trinity, and more.
