Pure talent guarantees longevity – Akosua Agyepong

Speaking on Morning Starr, the former member of the defunct music group Nakorex, noted that cheap popularity only destroys a good brand.

Renowned Ghanaian musician, Akosua Agyepong has urged young musicians to devote their time to developing their talents.

Speaking on Morning Starr, the former member of the defunct music group Nakorex, noted that cheap popularity only destroys a good brand.

“I tell you what, people will offer you all kinds of advice, but at the end of the day, it is creativity that speaks for years.

“There was a time I was to perform at the Arts Centre, and this guy who thought I was shy and could not perform offered me something to take; something to give me more confidence but I did not take it. I went and performed to the awe of everyone. That is why I keep telling the young ones, once you start taking something, you become dependent on it forever.“I told myself I wouldn’t smoke, I would not drink or go naked. I will clothe myself, and still, here I am today. The talent supersedes anything else”, she indicated.
