Get Familiar with Nigerian-Ghanian eclectic singer

The Afro-R&B singer has that ‘fire’ already sparking, patiently waiting to ignite and blow up in our faces just like Mr Eazi.

Khandie

Born to a Ghanaian father and Nigerian mother, Khandie has spent time in both countries well enough to draw influences from both, a characteristic bearing semblance with Mr Eazi's story.

Her latest single ‘was obviously drawn from that part of Ghana, where she sings of a failed love relationship with her Ghanaian lover.

Khandie had her university education in the University of Lagos, which also would speak volume of her music influences.

The singer and songwriter will not be put in a box as she touches on Hip-Hop, R&B and Caribbean vibes, a hallmark of an artist who is not afraid to explore.

She took Drake’s ‘Controlla’ and went sailing correct on that Caribbean vibe.

On fast rising femcee Phlow’s ‘Love it or not’, she flirts with Hip-Hop in its element, handling the chorus just fine.

She also makes a guest appearance with her vocals on rapper A-Q’s ‘Half bread is better than Puff Puff' off his last album “Rose”.

The singer emerged winner at a competition designed to discover bright talented artists, which took place at the 2016 edition of Flytime Promotion and Pepsi's Rhythm Unplugged.

That gave her a platform to perform and share stage with some of the biggest Nigerian artists out of Nigeria.

Tagging herself the ‘Fire Gyal’, it's obvious she is ready to ride heavy on that Caribbean wave, and have it sprinkled all over her music.

Khandie is easily one to look out for in the industry. She has that ‘fire’ already sparking, patiently waiting to ignite and blow up in our faces just like Mr Eazi.
